Summer is peak season in Iceland, but I think the country is equally beautiful (and cheaper and less crowded) from December to March. From snow-covered volcanoes (like Hverfell) and the Northern Lights to furry Icelandic horses and frozen roads, here are some of the beautiful sights of Iceland in winter.
