Map of Iceland

Iceland is a small country – roughly the size of the US state of Ohio – and an easy one to navigate. There’s one main road, called the Ring Road, which circles the country and directions from town to town are often a single sentence – “follow the road until you get there.” Frequent signs along the roads tell drivers how which town is next and how many kilometers away it is. While it’s certainly possible to take a wrong turn, it’s hard to really lose your way in Iceland. The map below is helpful for locating towns in relation to other locations, but be sure to pick up a free map of Iceland when you receive your rental car if you plan on doing much driving. In addition to helping you navigate, it’ll also tell you which towns have gas stations so you’ll know when you need to fill up.
