Icelandair Announces New Flights from DC to Reykjavik

Iceland just keeps getting easier and more affordable to visit. Icelandair, which currently offers direct flights from Boston, New York-JFK, and Seattle, and seasonal service from Minneapolis – St. Paul, Orlando Sanford, Halifax and Toronto to Iceland, has just announced the addition of nonstop service from Washington, DC (Dulles).

Service begins May 2011, with prices as low as $429 round trip. For flights in July, I found rates as low as $572 per person, including tax. As with flights from other destinations, all flights from DC on to Europe will stop in Reykjavik, and passengers can book a stopover in Iceland at no extra charge.
