Embassies in Iceland

embassyMost travelers don’t want to have to call on their local embassy while on a trip, as it usually means they’ve run into some kind of trouble or complication. If something goes wrong on your trip to Iceland, your embassy or consulate is one of the first places you should go for help. Staff there can help you replace a lost or stolen passport, help you apply for an extended visa, or in some cases, assist with immigration issues.

If you plan on traveling to another country from Iceland and will need a visa to visit that destination, the local branch of that country’s foreign embassy can usually help with that process as well.
